The c.1909 Carbonizing Plant of the American Woolen Company was an integral component of mill operations until the mid-1900s, but had inadvertently been omitted from the initial district nomination. The brick structure was constructed to facilitate fast, cost-effective processing of raw, untreated wool.- George-Pine-Henry Street Historic District, Bellows Falls, VT
