Conditions Assessments & Treatment Recommendations

  • Wilcox-Potts House, Benson, VT
  • Samuel Reed Hall House, Old Stone House Museum, Brownington, VT
    Conditions assessment critical in establishing priorities for repairs as well as providing supporting information for grant applications for c. 1831 house.
  • Hope Community Church, South Walden, VT
    Conditions assessment for c.1825 church to establish repair schedule and priorities.

National Register Nominations

  • Winooski Falls Mill Historic District (Boundary Increase), Winooski, VT
    The c.1909 Carbonizing Plant of the American Woolen Company was an integral component of mill operations until the mid-1900s, but had inadvertently been omitted from the initial district nomination. The brick structure was constructed to facilitate fast, cost-effective processing of raw, untreated wool.
  • George-Pine-Henry Street Historic District, Bellows Falls, VT
    A largely intact residential district constructed between c.1880 and 1905 to accommodate an influx of workers for then-expanding local industries.
  • Williams Street Extension Historic District, Bellows Falls, VT
  • Bottum Farm, New Haven, VT
  • Scampini Block, Barre, VT
    Owned by the Northfield Bank, this distinctive granite structure was built in 1904 by Angelo Scampini and features large plate glass windows, polished granite columns, and carved garlands of grapes and wheat.

Rehabilitation Investment Tax Credit Applications (RITCs)

  • 111 St. Paul Street, Burlington, VT
    Mixed use rehabilitation plan for contributing building in one of Burlington's National Register Historic Districts.
  • Fair Haven, VT
    Late 19th-century commercial building, in Fair Haven's historic business district, with an adaptive rehabilitation proposal for mixed use.
  • Bottum Farm, New Haven, VT
    Rehabilitation of a large c.1912 dairy barn into a commercial bakery.

Section 106 Review

  • Edmunds Middle School, Burlington, VT
    Federal funding for new interior acoustical improvements to the c.1951 gymnasium of the c.1900 school triggered Section 106 Review.

Act 250 Review

  • East Avenue, Burlington, VT
    A plan for the development of a "co-housing community" by Burlington Co-Housing Development LLC prompted an ACT 250 Review.

Finishes Analysis

  • Pierce Hall, Rochester, VT
    Paint analysis & treatment recommendations.

Baseline Documentation

  • Abare House, Intervale Road, Burlington, VT
    Documentation, prior to demolition of a historic resource by the City of Burlington, to serve as archival reference of the structure.
  • Goodenough Farmstead, West Brattleboro, VT
    House of unusual design, constructed before 1790, and English Bank Barn on 34 acres.

  • Appletree Point Farm, Burlington, VT
    History of an early Burlington farm, associated with the family of Governor Urban Andrain Woodbury and prominent Vermont architect Louis Sheldon Newton.
  • Moran Plant, Burlington, VT
    Feasibility study, historic structure assessment and historical report on public power generation for a complex of industrial buildings on Burlington's waterfront.
  • Ferrisburg Grange, Ferrisburg, VT
    Salvage report after devastating fire destroyed the building.
